Dear Ones,
Mary Mallette is coming home today. It is now time to end treatment for this insidious disease. She has spent the last few days at Baptist, so she could indeed face this decision fully informed by her medical team, her family, and her faith.
Mary Mallette chose Hospice & Community Care in Rock Hill to help us through the days to come. Years and years ago, my best friend, Beth Dominick, died and Hospice was beginning in bigger cities like Charlotte-Beth died at home with her family and her dog. Shivers, on her bed with her. It made a huge impression on us to have the ability to die at home. Our Mother and a team of community leaders began Hospice in York County.
We all have our own battles to fight and Mary Mallette has shown each of us blessed to know and love her how to live every day.
I can hear her sweet voice, “Every day is a day.”
We are heartbroken. I am heartbroken. Please keep us in your prayers.
And yet, we believe. Mary Mallette believes. We will revel in each and every moment remaining.
Mary Mallette is love. We are all love❤️
Be Swift & Make Haste,
xoxox
Meg
