Dear Ones,

Back in Winston at Baptist and it all feels so surreal. One of the very first RNs from over two years ago is our nurse for the weekend. Kevin stayed with Mary Mallette last night and today. I'm here now. We will stay til we bring MM home.

George Bumgardner brought Momma from Columbia and they were able have a quick love look/see tonight.

The news from the Cat Scan has shifted our goals to comfort and palliative care. MM had a VERY long day getting palliative radiation for her abdominal areas to relieve symptoms amd pain. We will remain here over the weekend for symptom control and hydration. Another palliative radiation treatment on Monday. Hopefully, home beginning of the week.

Please know how much you all mean to her. She is resting quietly, finally. These days...these days......

I keep hearing James Taylor singing, “The Water is Wide” over and over again. Kevin and MM met JT several years ago and were able to attend a few concerts as special guests. She LOVES JT❤️

The water is wide, I can't cross o'er

And neither I have wings to fly Give me a boat, carry two And both shall row My love and I

Love is gentle, love is kind The sweetest flower when first it's new But love grows old and waxes cold And fades away like morning dew

There is a ship that sails the sea She's loaded deep as deep can be But not as deep as the love I made I know not how I'll sink or swim

The water is wide, I can't cross o'er And neither I have wings to fly Give me a boat that can carry two And both shall row My love and I And both shall row My love and I”

Be Swift and Make Haste,

xoxox

Meg
