Meg Jenkins Locke

Dear Ones,

Day +15

Numbers continue to improve, engrafting continues and yucky symptoms remain consistent.

The medical team have offered alternative ways to take some of the meds. Good! And, they have given her oral ibuprofen and it has done wonders for the inflammation.

She may be the TOUGHEST person I have ever known...this is an EXTREME Marathon and she is getting it DONE!!!

We have been watching the US Open Tennis Tournament:

From the bed, this croaky voice says, “He has on one dark sock and one white sock. Why?!?”

I am sitting across the room laughing til I’m crying...the running commentary is priceless.

The days are long; filled with rest, recovery and lots of meds both oral and IV. This will be our routine long after the in-patient hospital stay is over. These life saving medicines are necessary and our gratitude knows no measure🙏🙏🙏

Mary Mallette decided to shave the remainder of her hair today. She has a beautiful head and her light shines even more. 👩‍🦲❤️🥰

She also has on her orange shirt today in honor of Ron Locke and the Clemson Tigers debut tonight.

Fight Tigers, Fight Tigers, WIN!!!

We celebrate our lives and life outside these walls.

Mary Mallette says, “ This is a day of my life. I’m living it.”

Let’s all do our best to live our lives well❤️

Love, love, love

Meg❤️
